Turn a maintenance request into
a priced quote, from your own price list.
Engineers and buyers (and their AI assistants) email a list of bearings, belts, hose and fittings and ask what it would cost. QuoteDesk reads the list, matches each line to your price list by designation and size, and drafts a reply with your prices, stock and lead times, ready for you to check and send. Lines it is not sure about, such as a taper lock bush with no bore or a chain with no pitch, are marked for you, not guessed.
Free, no signup. The sample uses made-up products and prices, not any real distributor's. Your own price list is read for one request and not stored.
Every request is the same lookup
Which designation, which size, what is the price today, is it in stock, what is the lead time. QuoteDesk does the lookup, so you start from a draft.
Sizes matter
A 6205 is not a 6206, and a 1/2in fitting is not a 3/8in one. A line is priced only when every size or designation in the request is in the product. Anything less is left for you.
Terms are flagged, not agreed
A request for a held price or 30 day terms is shown in the draft for a person to decide. QuoteDesk never commits you to anything.
How it works
1. Read the request
An AI model (Meta's Llama, run by Cloudflare) pulls out each line the customer asked for and keeps the exact words it came from. Email addresses and phone numbers are removed first.
2. Price from your list
Matching and prices are not AI. A line is priced only on a product code or a clear match to one item in your list. Everything else is flagged for you.
3. You check and send
You get a draft reply with blanks where a person must decide. QuoteDesk never sends anything or commits you to anything on its own.
What you need
A price list as a CSV file (a description and a price column; product code, stock, lead time and minimum order help). A few past maintenance or trade requests to test it on. No integration, no software to install.
Questions
Do I need to connect to my stock system?
No. Export your price list as a CSV from a spreadsheet, your stock system or a manufacturer price file and upload it. Nothing is connected and nothing changes in your systems.
What about prices that change daily?
QuoteDesk prices only from the file you give it, so a stale file gives stale prices. Upload a fresh export when your cost prices move. A line is flagged when stock or minimum order in your file says it should be.
What if a customer asks for something vague, like "a belt for the conveyor"?
It is left blank for you. QuoteDesk only prices a line when it matches a product code or clearly matches one product in your list, including its size or spec. Lines with more than one possible match are marked to check, with the closest products shown.
QuoteDesk is in early development: a working prototype, a free demo on sample data and free pilots. It is an automated drafting tool, not advice; a person checks and sends every reply. This page was written with AI.
