The agent-ready
website checklist

Twelve checks in three groups. Most take minutes. SiteCheck tests all of them on your homepage for free.

Can agents reach your site?

  • robots.txt does not block what you want found. No "Disallow: /" for everyone, and only the AI crawlers you have chosen to block. How to check
  • No forgotten "noindex". Search your homepage source for it.
  • Bot protection is set on purpose. Check your host or CDN for AI-bot blocking settings.
  • HTTPS is on.
  • You have a sitemap. It lists your pages so they can be found beyond the homepage.

Can agents read it?

  • Your key facts are in the page itself. What you do, prices and contact details should not depend on JavaScript to appear.
  • Structured data states the basics. Name, address, hours, phone. Template
  • Clear title, description and headings. One main heading that says what the page is, then sections in order.
  • Contact details are easy to find. An email, phone number or contact page link on the homepage.

Can agents use it?

  • Every form field has a label.
  • Every button and link has readable text. No icon-only buttons without a label.
  • Images that matter have descriptions (alt text).

Optional

  • An llms.txt file. Cheap to add, not essential yet. Why

Doing all of this does not guarantee any AI assistant will recommend you. It removes the common reasons they would skip you.

Check yours in about 10 seconds. SiteCheck reads your homepage the way an AI agent would and tells you, in plain English, what is in the way.
